Celebrating Ken Custer

Longevity in the advertising industry is a rare find. Many make it past the twenty-year mark. Some reach thirty. For more than sixty years, Ken Custer has been the epitome of professionalism here in our Colorado ad scene. For a quarter of a century, he was well known as the owner and publisher of The Review, a monthly magazine covering Colorado advertising and marketing news.

Ken’s career started back in 1955, taking his first job in television production with Channel 7 when television was still in black and white. Fifteen years later, he became account supervisor at Fox Sweeney & True Advertising, where he oversaw accounts such as Coors Beer and Pizza Hut for a good sixteen years. Then, before overseeing the Review, he served as the Director of Advertising and Promotions at 7UP Bottling Company of Denver.

For all he has achieved within his career, we will be hosting a get-together to honor Ken. It is a free event happening May 24 at 5:30pm at Mile High Spirits in Denver. There will be a cash bar and food truck. Please RSVP, if you are coming at

https://www.facebook.com/events/1984410935138331/ and bring your best Ken story.
